City of Red Deer Employee Review
Manager was the biggest barrier, and had little patience for trainees
Had a short stay with the city... although the training program was good for bus drivers, the manager was not supportive of trainees to allow them to get up to par. The manager was unreasonable, and quick to dismiss. The other drivers were very supportive. And driving for the city was enjoyable, as well as dealing with the public. The most difficult situation was the weather, and trying to keep up with the times to be on schedule to pick up the riders... we were expected to do so when it was foggy, and the weather was bad... sometimes the roads were not in the best condition.

Management is very immature they pick favourites and do not have good manners. They are childish and rude. They choose who to give shifts too and that plays along with the favourites, if you’re not a favourite then no hours for you ( this is specifically aquatics department )
Good pay, great people. I helped other departments when the need arose. Would definitely go back if the opportunity presented itself. Operators were helpful and your input was always welcome. If you were a worker and worked, you should have no issues.
Pay, friendly co workers, treated like a person
Sometimes hours were hard to come by
