Social Media Consultant (Contract) in North Vancouver, BC

Good workplace, competitive wages and great team members
Great organization with positive team members and lots of room for development. Many different departments and facilities to work in and all of the staff that I have met has been very friendly.

terrible unsupportive employer
i enjoyed the nature of the work but this a terrible employer. The culture there was back stabbing and underhanded. There was a constant turn over in management. I found people there were generally unhappy with the employer but afraid to speak out for change due to fear of consequences. The union reps were unprofessional & could be heard triangulating and speaking about private matters to others in shared work spaces. I worked for there for well over ten years and when I left I never looked back.

Good group of people
Hard job answering 911 calls as it can be very busy and challenging. Rewarding work when you can actually make a difference and hear follow up from the police members that attend the scene (if it is information they can share).

Good wage and benefits
Want part time work and not offered. Liked the driving aspect of the job and working independently. Vacation and sick time was good but after 27 years employed needed to go to pet time but isn’t offered at this workplace.
Streets department in North Vancouver, BC

Bad place to work
You go in thinking it's going to be a great job but that changes really fast. From management all the way down to half the workers in Streets Dept. were corrupt in one form or another. If someone in their little pack doesn't like you some of them try to bully you so you'll quit. .
