the workplace is nice but it's hard to move up
Their pay is pretty good and they have a nice system to manage shifts/employees and everything, but not everything runs smoothly. Luckily the large number of employees cover for things when people don't/can't show up for shifts.I found that it's hard to move up unless your managers really like you, and if they like you, you don't have to be an excellent worker to be promoted.

Hard to get full time and the politics suck
A typical day here is hope the trucks aren't broken and be able to get the work done efficiently relies on if the trucks are workingPeople in the city also do not follow the rules so they will have overweight items and materials that can be extremely heavy. Injuries are inevitable.

Good work environment but could use some improvement
The workplace understands your needs and is good at training new staff in a class format. However, they need to work on proper practical training as teaching people in a class is not the same as in the real world.

Too many managers/supervisors
Because of having too many supervisors and managers they all need to justify their jobs by micromanaging their staff! Creates a stressful environment if you are trying to take pride in your work! Also very many ‘Rule for thee (employees) but not for Me (supervisors/managers)!’

Good Summer Job
Good place to work, co-workers are all great. Good supervisors, good training and great pay for students. If you can work hard, enjoy being outdoors and don't mind the heat you should work here.
