Productive and enjoyable
Staff are great and the people are great too. No complaints. I highly recommend working with the city, especially if you looking for something part-time to start.

City has everything except decent management
Pay is one of the best in the lower mainland, but the higher ups micromanage until no end. If you can stand management, then the pay is decent enough to live off of. You really need to be on everyone's good side to be given shifts.

Happy I left
Some managers are complete boneheads. Worked there for 30+ years and finally quit with one hour notice because I'd had enough of the place. It felt so awesome to quit like that and that should never be the case. Needs an overhaul in a really big way.

Run, don't walk away from this employer!
Working for the City of Delta was not a good experience. The managers are terrible. The only positive thing to say about it is that it pays above minimum wage. Even so, would not recommend it.

Part-time casual work experience in teaching
The City of Delta provided me with teaching experience and flexible hours. Unfortunately it is very difficult to gain enough hours to live off with no job security.
