Awesome staff. No drama. People are very helpful and do any thing they can do to help you settle in. I've been working here for a while so I can tell you it's awesome.. pay is great.

Just a great place to work as a lifeguard/ swim instructor

Everyone there is very nice and supportive. If you ever have any questions there is always someone there that can help you out. However, the job can be a little stress if you don't know your basics or don't do well in emergency situations.
Pros
free access to all facilities if lifeguard.
Cons
Can get pretty tense if something goes wrong at the facility.

It was fun to work for the city, met good people. The pay was good and fair. I also learned lots of new things. Only thing that was bad was some of the management.

favoring complacency

as long as you have good behaviors, you don't need to perform at all. lots of complacent workers who are just be nice to everyone and got promoted. If you are a performer, don't join. if you are a lifer, don't want to do work, join the city.
