What would you suggest City of Calgary management do to prevent others from leaving?

  • Listen to staff. No raises in 5 years. No additional staff, burn out the good staff. Too much emphasis on cost control, analytics without understanding. This organization has lost a lot of its own 4 c's values,

  • Be more open to change and listen and look after your people. The City is not known for their high pay so you have to offer better recognition, benefits, and flexibility to attract and keep top performers

  • Value more their staff rather than just treating as just a number
