AnonymousGreat place to work, great pay. Toxic work force. Inconsistent policy. I was paid operating wage for half of my time working here then was told I was ineligible and told to continue operating loaders/class 3 vehicle without operating wage.

City of brandonThe one thing I like about this job is it is a place I go to work, and when I leave at the end of the day I leave my work there. I also enjoy the guaranteed hours and time of day I work.

Racist Co-workers/SupervisorsPlace is full of racism and they don't try to hide it. Supervisors don't communicate with each other well, AT ALL. Lack of communication between supervisors and subordinates. No morale. No leadership.

transit driver in Brandon, Mb
on 8 May 2015
very toxic negative work placeTypical day at city transit is negativity from the salary towards the drivers. A number of drivers have retired early because of this negative, toxic environment for the transit drivers. Written and verbal reprimands are a common occurrences. Drivers live with the fear of being fired. There are many that get fired without just cause often with trumped up stuff. Often there is no time for breaks even for to go to the bathroom. If you ask the majority of the drivers in private they would tell you how much they hate it. When drivers do leave for one reason or another when they get to the next driver job they are told, "don't worry, I know all about what it's like over at the city transit, no need to tell me anything" Its too bad because drivers say 5 years ago it wasn't like that.
