Little opportunity for growth no matter how much they advertise that there is. Poor management and then pay assistants 50 cents more than Minimum which is just messed up and salaried isn’t much better.

Amazing and perfect entry level job for students. You will definitely make some great friends and get the feel for a "real" fast paced work environment. Team Leaders (Cast Leaders) basically get paid minimum but do 3x the amount of work. Good if you want the experience on your resume. The people and culture are great...the problem is how head office wants things to be done...people who sit in an office or cubicle don't always understand what's best for the functioning of the actual retail locations...
Pros
friends, culture, free movies, flexibility
Cons
management, functionality, pay, work load

The whole reason I left was management. I lost respect in working under someone who was disrespectful to me but also allowing an underage co-worker to down a bottle of Smirnoff Ice in the back only to return to serve customers. They thought it was funny, it was not. Didn't bother reporting, just left. There was constant harassment on an LGBTQ+ member that was minimally addressed too. Managment there SUCKED. Overall the job wasn't that bad, I enjoyed the families.
Pros
Free movies, popcorn and drinks
Cons
Childish, sketchy managers, lazy teenager atmosphere

I got one shift a week three hours then when Covid happened they open for two months never gotten one shift. I went in there to quit they gave me two weeks notice after not working for two months like are you serious. (Gulu)
Pros
Free popcorn, 50% off, free movie tickets for two, free drink.
Cons
Environment was terrible, bullying, getting made fun of, racist, sexist management, very toxic managers, short hours, one shift a week.

The best company I’ve ever worked worked for hands down.-Management is fantastic-they’re more than willing to make accommodations for those with physical limitations -training is very thorough, and if you have any questions on the job everyone is super helpful and kind- You’re always learning new things-There’s plenty of opportunities within the job, there are multiple positions you can get training in ( ex: box office, outtakes/food service) or you can stay in the basic cashier position which is always good too!-everyone has a fantastic attitude-there are times when you have the opportunity to work as an individual and times you have to work as a team
Pros
Everything!
Cons
Can’t think of any

With the right coworkers and managers, it could be really fun and engaging. Only downside is always smelling like butter and sweat, but the scene rewards and movie passes are a plus. Hard to work your way up if you don't plan on long term. Can be understaffed during rushes and that angers customers, small work space. Overall fun place.
Pros
Great co-workers and environment
Cons
Sometimes understaffed during rushes

Typical day at work included preparing popcorn, drinks and other food items for customers, processing transactions, restocking the concession stand, and lots of cleaning. It was typically very fast paced and taught me how to multitask better and work more efficiently. Overall, management was fine, although some were better than others. Wasn't really much of a workplace culture. Hardest part of the job was dealing with difficult customers and coworkers and trying to complete orders quickly on busy days. Most enjoyable part of the job was the flexible scheduling.
Pros
Very flexible hours, free popcorn and drinks and discounts on food while you're working, free movie tickets
Cons
Inconsistent hours, rude customers and coworkers, training was a bit lacking

If you're older than 19 this place is not the place to be. Good part time job if you're in school. Get free movie tickets every paycheck. Some managers can be good but there was a lot of favouritism.
Pros
free movie tickets
Cons
annoying customers

This is a good job for highschool students, but if you're in college/university be prepared to spend all your time either studying or working. The breakroom is way too small and cramped and depending on how many people are working you won't be able to find a place to sit. It's an entry level job so don't expect any benefits. The other cashiers are nice but that's about it. Sometimes closing can take hours (ending at 12 or 1AM), so if you have to get up early in the morning for school you might be a bit tired. If your shift was supposed to end at 5 expect to be there until 7 as you'll usually be asked to stay late almost every single shift. Customers are usually very moody and if you make one mistake prepare to be yelled at by them.
Pros
Nice coworkers
Cons
Closing shifts, only get a food discount when working

Pros:Free movies and sometimes posters (if you're chummy with the person in charge of giving away posters)Some fun social events but all cancelled now due to COVIDIf you're lucky, might get to work with a good supportive team Work culture is alright, not too much drama or backstabbing happening Pre covid, work life balance was good. Company was trusting with allowing WFH optionsCons:Very little opportunity to advance unless a teammate quits so instead of hiring externally, they'll promote you with a small pay bump Corporate execs make poor decisions in investment opportunities Depending on your team, work can get monotonous and boring Salary and benefits are way below market prices. So only join this company if you love free movies and need experience working at a large corpFavoritism is prevalent especially if you want to advance. Overall: don't recommend this company especially given its current conditions unless you're desperate for a job. Though if you can suffer for a year or two, having this name on your resume may be worth it.

It was a great job, personally in my opinion its a great part time job for students cause you’d be able to balance your school load along with a personal life. Management is great and understanding and patient. The free movies and cast popcorn and cast drink make up for some of busy shifts you’s will endure.
Pros
Free movies
Cons
None at this location.

I loved this job. Truth be told only reason I left was for health issues and didn't like the 45 min commute. Everyone was great.. took a bit for people to warm up being I was the new lead but after that it was great!

the job is basically a side hustle since you barely get a shift. Some coworkers are fun to work with, some think they are too good to even cooperate with you and belittle you. The job is way too stressful just to be paid minimal wage yet the only good thing about the job only benefit students since you get a lot of days off:p
Pros
Flexible
Cons
Stressful
