Good benefits
Good company to work for. Negotiate strong and hard for a good salary upfront that you will be happy with for at least a couple of years. They start low but can go higher, do not accept “you are the highest in a range”. it is very difficult to increase salary once in a position. Ask upfront what the salary range is.
Pros
Free banking and good employee mortgage rates
Cons
Many layers to navigate

Good place to work
The Good: Benefits, defined benefit pension as part of salary package. Good work life balance. The Bad: Technology and workspaces dated and behind most other large institutions.

Good IT Environment
CIBC was a good place to work. They are a competitive organization and your job will be quick-paced. They are currently moving away from mainframe systems so those skills are not in demand as much as they once were.
Pros
reasonable pay, good benefits
Cons
large organization, creativity can be stifled
