Great place to grow and develop as a young professional; works with very notable, high profile, and reputable Canadian clients . Very team-oriented culture. Management open and very approachable — both with respect to day-to-day operations and with to long-term growth initiatives.
It was a progressive insurance company where you were rewarded based on personal effort. Good management and staff-Never felt out own place and could grow with the company
had opportunity to advance
success is totally dependent on personal efforts
It’s a Sexually Charged, Abusive, Racist environment! Management doesn’t care, they even get promoted! People just watch me get bullied and yelled at. HR protects management! In the interview I was asked if I mind if “people swear, because there will be a lot of it” My boss, was a INSANE and would ask me to run his errands for him, wait for personal packages so I couldn’t go home on time.
Racist environment, viable minorities are IT or support staff, Long hours
The internal structure is so competitive that each location competes with another. This means the employees are pushed harder to perform with little recognition. Little training, little support.
Resume would look good
Long hours, no overtime pay untrained managers

Great company to work for. They made it a point to give about giving back to the local community and ensure that each employee was involved at h RSP contribution where they would match
I had an excellent experience. It was during the coronavirus pandemic and the company handled the situation extremely well and offered many networking opportunities. Also introduced you to all the programs for students they have at CIBC, really kind helpful environment.
Required to learn anything related to retail banking but being paid less than other banks. Work environment is competitive, managers always encourage us to perform better and improve. Consistently monitor our performance and provide feedback
management always checks in with staff when we are ill and shows true compassion. Very supportive. Best financial advisors
CIBC is a very knowledgeable institution. The financial advisors are always looking out for the client and making sure they are in the best position. All co workers are very supportive of each other and it is a joy to know that if mistakes happen they are there to help solve the problem. It may not be the best pay, but all the other benefits out weigh.
working in a backend team is always challenging should be very careful when dealing customers data. learned a lot about work and got exposure to different platforms.
