Great place to grow and develop as a young professional; works with very notable, high profile, and reputable Canadian clients . Very team-oriented culture. Management open and very approachable — both with respect to day-to-day operations and with to long-term growth initiatives.
Unprofessional behaviour of manager. You’re treated well when you suck up to the managers. Manager rude to and in front of clients. Even some csr’s show pouty faces to clients but no one is there to correct the behaviour. Colleagues act like they’re your friends but they backstab you the minute your back is turned to them. Partisan behaviour.
Fast paced. Low pay. High stress.
CSR jobs are all quickly becoming part time 10-18hrs/wk...being replaced by digital options. Computer systems up and down all the time makes doing job hard and effects customer experience. Large part of a shift is spent reporting digital theft/fraud. Customers can be demanding and rude. No support from management, they don’t really see clients anymore either unless there is a huge problem.
CIBC a pathetic place to work. The management is totally corrupt. Don’t know the business ethics. Always tries to focus on sale. On the name of retirement planning, CIBC is selling it’s products making fool out of people.
Worst place to work with
New management being brought in from mostly TD is absolutely horrible. i would not recommend CIBC as an employer. It is bottom of the the "Big 5" for a reason. Career advancement is based on everything EXCEPT performance.
This is a high level job where you are given enough training and resources to be successful at your job. You need to be aware of what you are doing and if you wish to be there. I will only recommend this to someone who has a passion for this as it is a very demanding job, but a lot of fun if you have a passion for it
Culture used to be good but with recent management hires (predominantly those that were fired/pushed out from TD) it has gone downhill. Toxic
-Low pay for amount of work and extra time you have to put in. -Advancing in your career is limited to who you know not performance -Poor management skills at branch level -
Good and supportive enviroment, fast paced, large learning curve on the systems with support on the intranet and dedicated staff on the phone. Good and frendly manager Hardest part is to learn all different systems with in the different departments Good, fun and relaxing meetings. always willing to help
great team members and best place to enhance the new technical knowledge. This is a tight-knit team that constantly strives to be the best they can be. Some great perks are short-day Fridays year round, birthday celebrations, work outings and overall an energetic, positive, ever-evolving workplace.
