What would you suggest Christian Horizons (CA) management do to prevent others from leaving?
Offer growth opportunities or title changes that can be useful on a resume even if they don’t really offer additional pay increases. Give us anything that feels like a step forward.
Make the leadership course mandatory for all managers. Train the managers with MORE leadership skills.
Make employees more aware of outside training opportunities.
Resistant to change, so they may have trouble making the move from person-centred to person-directed.
Christian Horizons had a heart for people with disabilities and strive to do all they can do make sure their wants, needs and goals are met.
Navigating ethics with front line staff and managers that don’t understand ethics or have deeply rooted Christian beliefs that clouds their judgement or ability to let clients live the lives they want. Also handling archaic beliefs about client behaviour management.
Only when government mandated for dsp's but management gets much higher percentage of raises and free meals and travel. Fair??? Don't think so
Does Christian Horizons (CA) allow for flexible working hours? Or are the hours set?
Hours where set but manager was very supportive if you had to flex hours due to appointments.
