Rental Agent/ Facility Administrator (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 19 March 2014
first job in the property management industry. learned many many new things. loved the interaction with all tenants. enjoyed the 'selling' aspect of renting and showing units. worked with close friends and made new ones on the way. best part was working independantly and being a part of this buildings community. hardest part was giving out eviction notices.
Company with Very High Turn-over - I would definately NOT recommend!
Misc (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 20 August 2014
The turnover in this company is extremely high! which is a red flag in itself! It is a family run business and the two owners who are father and son disagree constantly and can't agree on anything. You are left in the middle not knowing what to do. Workload is heavy....expect to work extreme hours overtime (which is not paid) and on weekends. Labour laws are broken constantly. HR Manager is totally incompetent and much of the hiring is left to her. She should be fired! for misrepresenting the job as it really is. Extremely disfunctional atmosphere - there are better opportunities out there. They may try to lure you with a decent salary, but once you're in there....expect to be extremely stressed and overworked! There have been a multitude of talented people who have worked there and had the misfortune of being hired....only to quickly learn it is a dead end job with much back biting and toxic atmosphere. From what i understand over 80% staff has left. Be warned.
Location - near Shops on Don Mills to step out for lunch if you can to destress!
Looong hours, extremely high workload and will not be paid overtime, poor benefits
Lead Superintendent - 355 units (Former Employee) – Toronto – 14 May 2013
I enjoyed working for this company for the last 7 years. I worked will with my co- workers. The hardest part of the job was keeping the garbage and recycling under control as this building had 333 units.
