Wonderful at first, quite disappointing later on. Policies are disappointing
Working here is okay short term wise, long term not so much. However the residents are lovely. Hard to generate vacation hours part time and company will only give you 5 unpaid vacation days before telling you unless you have vacation time, you can't take time off. Breath of fresh air
I started at Chartwell after a horrible experience with a competitor. I was treated terribly there and have had such a lovely experience so far. I actually have support from those willing to help me. Incredible staff who genuinely want to make a difference in the lives of the residents and their families.
In 2016, I worked for Rosedale (now acquired by Chartwell). I worked as a Healthcare Aide during the day and as a server in the kitchen in the evening. In 2017, I left to further my education and continue the journey to become a Registered Nurse. I became an RN and gained experience in different roles.
