Amazing place to work

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
I have been with the company for almost 9 years. It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to learn and grow professionaly. The people I work for are absolutely amazing. Student benefits are always the first priority. I would recommend the company any day.

I would have to say sometimes good and other times challenging

It would be good for colleges to stop hiring contract workers in the near future.Be transparent with all of their employees.Promote a culture where equality is transparent

Pros

Close to home

Cons

lack of benefits for part-time workers...not good

Really poor management

Really poor management of teams - the blind leading the blind. No opportunities for learning and developing horrible management, really experienced a lot of unprofessional behaviour From management.

It was very good working

Cons

Good experience

Good place to work they pay you well. Takes forever for them to pay you, and it’s never on time and then they pay a lump sum and your taxed royally which effects your pay cheque. Otherwise not bad place.

Share your experience to help others

Don't count on it as long term opportunity.

All teaching positions are contract now. Yes the hourly rate is good but they don't pay you for the time outside of the classroom when you are prepping, marking, setting up each course. The culture/atmosphere changes drastically between departments. If you're over 45 don't bother- you cost too much.

Centennial is a great place to work but can be stressful due to other fellow employees who can make your life miserable at work.

A lot of negative employees that creates the work environment a posion workplace. Most Employees are always looking to blame others instead of coming up with a solution in our school.

Pros

Flexible, benefits, pay, vacation days, sick days!

Cons

Need to change the mindset of negative behavior in the workplace

Good experience

While attending Centennial College as a student, I needed money to help offset my tuition. I went through registration and found a part time job working in the library. Shelving books, setting up study rooms, answering questions, running computer labs.

Pros

Benefits and work hours

Cons

Pay was minimum wage

Great culture

Once you get a full time job, you are set for life, but will not likely get one. They are using part timers for most hires. Les benefits to pay out.

Good on campus job

maximum 3 shifts per week, managers are approachable. Team is not so diverse. Schedules are very flexible as the managers work with what availability you give them. Although it is a cleaning job, they do give you an operations staff job title.

Pros

On campus job, flexxible schedule

Cons

not so diverse

Great College to Attend and Work Within

Enjoyed working at Centennial College. The work/life balance was doable. The salary could have been more competitive. The security of the job could be more stable. Managing bodies were very nice and understanding.
