Great company to work for!!
This company set the precedence for others to follow!Cenovus did take great care of their employees and it was appreciated. The best part was working in a group of SME's that acted like a team. This is to this day the highlight of my career. Could you image having a work environment where ego's were in check and everyone on the team look after each other?! Great times!Cenovus was a great company to work for and if I ever had the opportunity to back there again, I would accept it in a heart beat

a lot of horrasments
rood environment with arrogant people, poor safety, poor communication, bulling coworkers, not well educated management with low experience and skills
Construction Supervisor CMT in Cold Lake, AB

Challenging and fulfilling
I would go back in a heartbeat. The 5 years I spent there were the most productive and profitable of my career. I learned a lot about people and how to handle difficult situations ethically, and productively.

All bosses...No Leaders
Good pay and benefits. The culture is good with people on your own level but Supervidors are all appointed by friends so there are mostly supervisors with very little management and leadership skills. It's hard to get behind the arrogance of the bosses who specialize in learning acronyms and trying to sound like big shots. Remember this is an oil company and is run by a bunch of roughneck type people. They know how to talk and always act like they are the smartest people in the room.

Awful place to work
This is the sixth year of constant layoffs. Management is only out for themselves. Low level managers use you to their benefit and then discard you the minute you are not needed by them to further their career. It is a culture of fear and intimidation. The threat of losing your job is held above your head every day and used to get you to put safety aside multiple times a day. Don’t jeopardize your mental health by taken a job here.
