The child and youth programs I’ve heard are some of the most difficult and best around. I am looking for a challenge and I have heard through this field that they have a few really good supervisors

CSS is an extremely toxic environment to work with. Right from day 1 I was provided with no training besides reading the orientation binder, but was then getting in trouble for not knowing the correct way/process of doing things. Supervisors are extremely passive aggressive. If they notice something about your job performance they do not like, rather than bringing it to your attention right away for you to work on, they let those things bottle up until it's a reason to fire you. Many staff are not kept in the loop about activities and events going on, and then get in trouble for not being prepared for those events/activities.

Overall, the company culture is extremely distasteful. You are provided with very little positive leadership or communication, and then it's your fault when your job performance is not adequate- but not ever actually told how to improve before getting fired for it. Management is extremely passive aggressive. Company seems to choose favorites, and it is only those employees which are actually kept in the loop of activities and events going on each day.
