manager (Former Employee) – Strathroy, ON – 3 July 2018
Catalent as a larger organization seems like a great company, however, the new Canadian location is awful. I worked in the office area in Strathroy and the senior leadership is questionable. Is by far the worst culture I have been apart of. Old poorly running inventory management system filled with errors, no ownership of processes and senior leadership holding meetings to blame people for errors rather than solving the root cause. The only department with a good manager is R&D.
Junior staff are nice people
No leadership or knowledgeable managers to drive change
Production Worker (Former Employee) – Strathroy, ON – 19 March 2019
Culture and environment of this company is very toxic. Horrible supervisors. The company says they are "Patient First", but production dept willing to cut all types of corners to get product out the door. High stress environment and poor pay. Company does not value employees, revolving door.HR dept protects all supervisors and so there are no repercussions for management's poor and abusive behaviour. HR dept as a whole is not invested in resolving or helping any employee who goes to them with a legitimate concern about management. Culture of the company is profit first, not patient first. This company does not invest in people nor do they care about their employees period. If you would like to know what it's like to be miserable for 12 hours a day give it a try, otherwise recommend you don't waste your time.
Vacation is tied in with company shutdown in March and July.
Administration (Former Employee) – Strathroy, ON – 22 November 2018
A good company to learn and grow with. Promotes from within often. Management wants to do the right thing. People are great. Busy company. Production is temperature controlled which is great for manufacturing. Clean environment.
