Relaxed atmosphere but with the expectation of being a hard worker; great team and top talent. Our workplace culture is very happy and hardworking, as well as collaborative.

This not a nice place to work. All the senior executes are snakes. By that I mean ALL - even the ones that appear to be “good guys”. Run, not walk, away from this place. The senior technical people are INCOMPETENT but believe they are top tier. That’s the worst situation as the people that matter WILL NOT LISTEN or consider any opinions other then their own.

Great people and great place to work. My time there was short but a very pleasant experience. I would certainly recommend this employer for management and technical roles.

Lots of social and professional communication between teams, but management out of touch with workers
Template (Software) Developer (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON22 October 2019
It's pretty easy to get along with people from several departments and teams here, but while several chat platforms and message forums are full of the low-level employees keeping track of what's going on, management still doesn't know who's doing what, and who's actually contributing to a lot of the work that's getting down around the company.
Agile development cycle has also been chaotically implemented in a non-agile fashion.
Pros
monthly social nights with free beer
Cons
maddening management and bureaucracy

You get to learn a lot. Management and work culture is changing drastically. The hardest part of the job is no competitive salary and benefits. Very serious environment in the office.

A company which is attempting to grow but this job is a fresh out of college experience. In order to grow a company sometimes its necessary to rip out its roots and start again.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Long hours and a lot of mismanagement

As long as you get your work done, there is no one on your back 24/7. The environment is really nice with great people. You are given real tasks that actually reach the user.

Friendly staff and easiness to get in is what landed me in this position. Low pay and little room for advancement is what pushed me to leave. I recommend this company for those starting out in their career.
Pros
Friendly staff
Cons
Low pay, external hiring

Fun place to work at a convenient location in downtown.
Software Developer (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON27 December 2017
One of the best working places I have been to.
Everyone is very supportive if you ever get stuck in your work load.
Work pressure is almost negligible if you work normally everyday.
No restrictions on in out timings which make the company as the most flexible one I have ever been to.
Pros
Flexible, Supportive, fun place to work and at convenient location in downtown
Cons
very stable hence slow growth internally if you are looking for bigger hikes.

Nice place to work
Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON24 November 2017
A nice place to work. Free coffee, flexible hours, including working from home a day a week, monthly socials with free food and drink.

Laid back atmosphere but might be changing. Currently undergoing agile transformation and pains associated with that (new management hierarchies and reporting arrangements, new ways of working, pressure to deal with daily standups etc).

Pay: generally lower than average but I got higher than average, not sure if they like me or what. But anyways apparently the pay is there if you have guts enough to ask and they like you. If not well ...
Pros
laid back, flex hours, friendly people
Cons
still figuring out agile, advancement can be limited

Typical enterprise software development company
Software Developer (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON4 September 2017
Typical day is working on issues (bugs, features, etc.) assigned by leads through bug tracker.

Learned a lot about dealing with technical debt and keeping things running.

The company is currently "going agile," has a new CTO position, and is adding staff. Have to see how that pans out. Innovation in new products and features is a bumpy road but keeps things interesting.

People are friendly and nice. It can be hard to find significant product or technical leadership the way it is now but on the whole management and leads are not too bad for most teams.

Hardest part of the job is dealing with the problems that go along with maintaining a fast pace. It is very customer-focused. 'Doing the minimum' to keep up and get it out the door is entrenched in some places and is frustrating to deal with when it affects your work.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the programming. You get a good variety of features and bugs to work on. There are many things to improve on and that can be very satisfying (if you can get the chance).
Pros
Great people, hiring more and moving to agile might (or might not) reduce the cons.
Cons
Very customer-focused. Some people can only keep up by doing the minimum.

Good company, low mobility
Software Test Developer (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON24 August 2017
Great work environment, but a very flat corporate structure, with little room to advance. Wages are also uncompetitive but benefits and annual bonus tends to be good.
Pros
annual bonus
Cons
low relative wages

Good Work Culture, Compensation not great
Software Developer (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON14 August 2017
Great people and work-life balance; however, with the company having clients for so long, they don't shoot for the stars. Its not the best place for someone who is super ambitious
Pros
Socials, People
Cons
Compensation, Not much of a push to grow
