How often do raises occur at Carea Community Health Centre?

Those in leadership positions pad their pockets with government funding and leave frontline workers high and dry, and then blame “the government” for the lack of financial resources to pay their employees a living wage.

There has never been a pay reduction since I have worked here for a few years. We had a small raise negotiated by the 'union' that was eaten up by the union dues. Maybe next time we'll negotiate a better deal.

Rather than ask about the frequency of 'raises,' you should be asking how often pay REDUCTION occurs. Because the 'raises' here do not keep up with the cost of living, any so-called 'raises' actually amount to making less money the longer you work here. The agency doesn't think our work is of any real value. Yet another example of the contempt they hold for their employees.

Unfortunately, our 'union' didn't negotiate any kind of raise worth discussing and they blame the company for it. Shame because now we are stuck with them.

Unfortunately, salary raises are controlled by the provincial government (as funder) for most roles at Carea.

Many of us have not had a raise in years and so I make significantly less now than I did when I started. We don’t get any sort of cost of living increases.

Not often enough. You actually make less money the longer you work here because pay increases do not keep up with the cost of living. Also, there is a lot of pay inequality across the board.
