Working at Capital Ford was like working at any other car dealership. They preached that they were very different than other car dealerships, but having worked at a few now, they are very similar. The nice part of Capital is that they are a volume based dealership, as opposed to a profit based dealership. They are more concerned about selling as many vehicles as possible, as opposed to trying to make the most money they can on each person. This is both a positive and a negative. It leaves very little control in the sales persons hands, as they are more or less just showing someone a vehicle as opposed to actually trying to sell it, given the philosophy of "the price is the price" mentality that comes with a volume based dealership. It was the best dealership I have worked for, but I just didn't have the ability to deal with customers the way that I felt made the most sense.
