A highlight of working at Capilano Suspension Bridge are the friendly staff. Management does their best to keep things organized, and to keep everyone in the loop about current park events. Questions are always welcome, no matter how long you've been working there.

Everyone is management were so welcoming and friendly. I would totally recommend this job for the management. The only con would be that when hiring high schoolers, they can be very rude towards outcasts working there

i worked as a park safety host in the winter, so i was working in the cold a lot. they provided us with nice uniforms and a very nice jacket to keep us warm. management was fairly strict and i had one manager who was not particularly kind to me, but they no longer work there. learned how to use walkie-talkies and interact with the public

Everyone working there, as well as customers were extremely friendly and happy to be at the bridge. It was a great team environment but the management change is not running smoothly and there are many visible conflicts between managers and employees.

Amazing place to work, a beautiful park and the culture is so welcoming and friendly. A great place to work if you have just moved here.

Management really look after the team. They are always organising fun activities and there is a great team culture.

Capilano is definitely a young persons gig. The vast majority of staff are under 25 years of age. Many middle management are in their mid to late 20's.

There are a few old timers there.

The problem is the park pays very poorly. Some longtime staff are only making 15.75 per hour this is after 10 years there.

That is very sad.

Working conditions are beautiful and staff seem to have fun.

Guests are 97% easy to deal with and there is little stress.

There are generous staff discounts, fun staff events and nice summer, Christmas bashes.

My only advice to the CEO is to pay people what they are worth.
Pros
lovely place to work
Cons
wages are very poor

The Guest Services team is managed really well. However this does not mean that all of the Management Team are the most friendly engaging members of staff.

The additional perks of the job are excellent, generally a happy place to work with a great mix of employees!
Pros
Outside of work benefits
Cons
Pay

I loved working at Cap, it's always so full of happy people. Management is very fair and conscientious of their employees' needs. Property is big and beautiful, employees are wonderful, only problem is the traffic on Cap Road sometimes messing up transit.

I loved ambience there (the bridge itself, the tree-house, Nature's Edge), co-workers and management. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Great team.
If you love meeting new people and telling them interesting stories, Nature guide is a perfect position.
Pros
Flexibility, cost TMK, lots of events organized for staff
Cons
Could be cold during the canyon lights but if you like outdoors it is a pro

Great place to work especially over the summer. Management is awesome and they really do try finding the best co workers to work with you. Never had any problems or conflicts during my time there.
Pros
Freebies here and there, Flexible hours great for students
Cons
outdoor work can make job exhausting
