A place to learn and grow

Great place to learn about food and hone your skills as a cook/chef. There are opportunities for advancement. The work life balance is not great as long work hours are required as is the food industry.

Productive

Working at Canoe restaurant was a learning experience. It's location on campus made so that you didn't have to drive to and from class. There was mostly 2-3 employees on the closing shift so it made it less stressful to clean up.

Exceptional Expirience

In this company you really have the opportunity to gro and advance through the ranks. I fell in love with the restaurant, the managment team and my co-workers. Keep in mind that as a top restaurant in the city the expectations are very high. You must master all the food items and must be able to think fast and move quick.

Productive and Great for learning

Worked here for 4 months as a stage in the kitchen and learned a lot. Great staff throughout all levels. More on the serious side although still very fun. Technique was VERY specific but it really hones your skills.
