Fantastic co-workers and beautiful locations, but unfortunately upper management does not invest in long-term employees (likely they have become too accustomed to high-turnover). This leaves staff and managers that lack experience, feel stressed out, or overworked. I would only recommend working for this company if you are coming in with a short-term mindset.

It's very unfortunate because this place has so much potential, and I think a lot of people care about its integrity starting off..but quickly change their minds. The longer you work here the more disposable you will feel.
Pros
Location, Friends
Cons
Long hours, poor communication, favouritism, some ageism/misogyny experience from upper levels of management

One of the most toxic places I've ever worked at.

Staff accommodation is disgusting unless you're in maintenance or management/supervisor position then you get a cabin, if you're the regular staff you all live in one building and share a tiny bedroom. The shower curtains are never cleaned and the women's washroom has a hole in the ceiling that leaks water.

Staff meals are indelible 99% of the time since the "cooks" are mostly high while preparing it if you're vegan or vegetarian good luck. Food is either undercooked or overcooked no in between. I hope you enjoy paying over $100 a month to eat toast and instant noodles.

The only pro to staff accommodations is the gym.

Not only do they promote incompetence they reward bad behaviour (not showing up to work, calling in, or being late)

I witness numerous people get promoted who should have gotten fired and watch them not promote or demote staff who definitely deserved to get promoted.

They resign contracts of people who should have gotten fired and ignore things like (fights, bad work behaviour, stealing or male workers harassing females)

Since it's not a CRMR problem they don't care since it's just a staff accommodation problem. they have had visits from RCMP.

Housekeeping: If you want to get paid less than your supervisor when you do way more work than them apply here, housekeepers clean all the rooms and do "bags" at the end of the day while the supervisors sit around and complain how long the day was when they have only checked rooms and won't help do bags. Instead of jumping in and helping them do bags they

The entire 8 months of working here have been stressful, to say the least. First of all, this place is managed by young adults (children; who know absolutely nothing in regards to labour laws or managing properly)
You are treated as if you’re disposable. They promote incompetence. None of the rooms are cleaned even close to standards, by the same people who get promoted. The housekeeping management in general is seriously declining. In the 8 months I’ve been here, we’ve had three different housekeeping managers alone... which should say a lot about emerald itself. It’s almost a miracle to see a housekeeper last here longer than a month.

On top of that, the staff residence is a joke. It’s full of black mould which you can see through the open ceiling tiles throughout the building (disgusting). After 3 months of living in residence, I noticed significant sinus issues that are still ongoing. The residence leaks year round into your rooms and common areas. They house up to 4 people per room, with absolutely disgusting conditions they expect you to live in. Living in residence, you’re subjected to tons of drugs and alcohol involuntarily and constant partying non stop. Some of the individuals living here are not mentally suited in this kind of environment. 4 police occurrences involving other employees due to violence has occurred since I’ve been here; which is terrifying to say the least. The residence is a very toxic environment.

As well as the accommodations being terrible, the food isn’t too off as well. Other employees here including myself, are constantly sick from the

place used to be amazing there was a stand by each other mentality that was bordering on family then over the past 2 years this restaurant's culture has 180'd

poor work place culture, management that argues and yells at staff. management here has told people they will only hire what they think is stupid people so they can treat them like garbage. one manager even said i wont quit here because i don't have to do anything any more. there are still a few good people at this establishment but the management is rotting this once amazing place.

Staff are overworked and not paid well at all. Living arrangements are disgusting and they charge way too much considering you can't even drink the water.

Massive drug and alcohol problem and management doesn't seem to care as long as the lodge is still making money the lodge manager is happy.
Pros
Scenery
Cons
Management, no culture, massive drug and alcohol problems, overworked and underpaid

Nice place for seasonal job. Staff party sometimes. Offer place to live but the cleanness and management is bad. 40 hours a week, share tips. No supervisor in the kitchen sometimes.

As a Bellman

You are the companies ambassador. You are the first and last impression, guests have of the company.

You've got to be the shuttle bell (shuttle driver from the parking lot to the main lodge) and the luggage bell (responsible for taking the suitcases to the different rooms and any other orders guests might have)

Enjoy practicing different languages while networking and making extra money!
Pros
Good food, you get many different responsibilities

Working in the kitchen was a great experience. You really get to do a lot, not like at some of the more corporate hotel chains.
The Chef was helpful and flexible with the schedule when needed.

Some staff complain about stuff like meals and housing, but I don't think it is that bad. Its better than a lot of places I have worked.
Pros
Beautiful area, family like atmosphere
Cons
disgruntled staff

.Every morning check the order emails for any new orders to be picked and delivered. Make sure all product going out is on the mountain drivers truck and the city drivers delivery trucks.

.I have learned the importance of the first in first out rule.

Learning about different meat companies in the industry.

. CRMR Production Ltd is a small operation for a warehouse.

Each day varies on a day to day production. The most enjoyable part of the job is the Monday to Friday work shifts and the people. Good people always make a good company.

. Flexible vacation time
Cons
No benefits

The most enjoyable part of the job was being near the lake in the summer and working nights. I work independently and with minimal supervision. Most nights are different dealing with varied clientele. I enjoyed completing guest request in a proffesional and timely matter.
Pros
Meal at night from the restaurant
Cons
too many complaints

Great Place, Small intimate, Learned about a lot about Lake Louise and what winter lovers like and expect from a hotel, Co workers were a mixed bunch, it was awesome to work with them. Hardest part of the job was being isolated in a little town, enjoyable part were the co-workers and the gorgeous scenery.
Pros
Great team, great management.
Cons
Long hours, isolation
