Canadian Pacific
Canadian Pacific Employee Review
Terrible company to work for.
Conductor (Former Employee) - Lethbridge, AB - 14 November 2022
If you like being watched like a hawk because management doesn’t get their bonuses if they don’t get enough fails per month. It’s all about safety until one of their safety measures makes you work a bit slower.

Great company to work for. If you dont mi d working irregular hours and up for a challenge, this job is for you. Pay is really good with most conductors making around 110k-140k.

Good place to make a living
Conductor (Current Employee) - Revelstoke, BC - 21 December 2022
Good place to work. Good co workers. The biggest thing is to not get involved in the politics at work. Yeah the hours are long and the schedule is on call but you can easily make upwards of 100k a year by just showing up and doing your job… it’s hard on the family though. I’ve been there almost 5 years and haven’t had any issues. I’ve worked a lot harder for a lot less money… you just have to think of the positives and you will have a decent time. The company can be unfair but as long as you do your job there won’t be an issue
Pros
Lots of work
Cons
No schedule… on call all the time

Great pay but would not recommend this place
Locomotive Mechanic (Former Employee) - Lethbridge, AB - 26 December 2022
The Pay is probably the only good thing about my time at canadain pacific. Union doesn't represent its employees and the company takes full advantage that. Never enough employees. Will spend 3 months trying to find any reason not to hire you then spend the rest of your career trying to fire you. Horrible work life balance, horrible bosses, more bosses then employees, dictatorship style uppermanagment and it runs down hill. No holidays off, no weekends off, monitored attendance, investigations from the company for anything, random drug tests, theyll pull you out of service for months at a time, many layoffs, bad job security.
Pros
Money
Cons
Pretty much anything you can think of this company does.
