Very interesting, challenging and satisfactory work.
Satisfaction of helping those who need the help most in workplace who are discriminated against in their workplaces without justification resulting in mental illness, depression, job and income loss and the worst of all loss of self-respect and dignity.

Great work culture, good relationships with colleagues
Management works hard to foster a positive work environment, listens to employees, and encourages advancement. Super fun workday, and you never feel nervous about asking questions.

Wonderful group of people to work with.
A typical day at work translates to going to your desk, opening outlook, waiting for emails from the lawyers you are the assistant of and the jobs they give you. You are asked to organize files, write draft letters, manage calendars, keep up to date with correspondence, arrange flight and accommodation and general administrative roles

Making a difference
An extremely rewarding place to work - human rights for federally regulated employees. Combined my desire to help people with making a positive change.

Great work/life balance promoted for all staff. Co-workers were enjoyable to work and learn with - always willing to assist each other to ensure the work is done correctly and completely.

Learning is built in to all work assignments to ensure everyone understands what needs to be done and how.

The hardest part of the job was leaving when my term employment ended.
Pros
The learning environment
Cons
Term employment for 4 1/2 years
