Canada West follows the BC employee guidelines for vacation time. Unpaid leaves are definitely considered, but on an individual basis.

Yes they do offer help but depends on job title and where you are relocating from.

Promotions are rare as a PCA. To work in a service you'll have had to work at least a year in Wards, ICU and ER in rotating shifts and have flawless attendance. Even then, a service position rarely opens up.

Yearly, and it's roughly a $0.25 raise unless everyone is bumped up $1 in pay. As a PCA is particularly difficult to get raises, even after working there for several years. You can increase your salary by becoming first aid certified, working in a service, or increasing your skill level (i.e. Level 1, 2, or 3).
