Depends how many people you have in your department. If there is enough, it's a decent pace. If it's understaffed, expect to be very busy juggling phones, emails, and eventually your colleagues' work, even though you're not trained to do it. And be prepared to work very hard while the other people in your department gossip all day about who knows what.
Hiring procedure took about 2 weeks but they are not consistent with the job description, contract and the rules are different for each person.
