Canada Post Employee Review

Great work, some people not so great

This is the best job I ever had but it's not for everyone, you have to be on your feet all day handling heavy stuff at a pretty fast pace. There are a lot of different shifts available but they're awarded by seniority, it will be a long time before you can pick yours. The supervisors are mostly really great. On a less positive note the workers are very entitled, some of them do hardly any work and some are bullies. Don't come if you're just there for the money and don't like to move freight.

Pros

wages

Cons

some coworkers are too entitled and don't do any work

I don't recommend anyone to work for this company

Couldn't pay me enough to work for such a terrible company,,, I do not recommend this company to anyone. This company has gone downhill. Even being retired, fighting them tooth and nail trying to get our pension that we rightfully earned. They do not care for any of there employees,,,, you are just a number to them. AGAIN I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE

Abusive relationship with employees

They'll act like your friend but stab you in the back.Every day they'll make a speech about "it's hot out there", "its cold out there", "we've got lots of packages today" "beware of dogs" etc, take your time, make it safe, cut off delivery if you have to. But than scold you for bringing anything back on anything other than 40+/40- heat waves/blizzards.If you can't finish you're expected to do OT, which sucks because who wants to do OT during extreme heat and risk heat stroke, or if you have a family or life outside of work and want to be home to care for them. Also they'll "thank you" (not really) for getting it done but then turn around and accost you for doing too much overtime you never wanted to in the first place.

Pros

Working alone, good exercise (weather dependent)

Cons

High stress environment, little support
