It's a great company to work for. Just wish they would give their P/T and Temp employees benefits especially when you have a family. Working as a letter carrier is very challenging since you have to work in all weather conditions rain or shine even snow storms!
Pros
your own boss
Cons
driving and walkng door to door to delivery mail in any weather condition

I worked as a Seasonal Postal Clerk for about 2 months and it was an amazing experience. The people were so nice and friendly. I will highly recommend this job to anyone. And the pay rate was so good.

My work experience was rewarding for 31 yrs. Canada Post provides lots of training, on and off the job so that employees perform the best at their jobs. Pay and benefits are also good. The workplace is also fun and has a gym so that employees can focus on fitness along with programs to help employees engage in healthy eating habits.

This job paid well and was easy. Lots of independence but routes are very long. Weather is your enemy and in winter being a courier is almost life threatening. would not recommend for the faint of heart, especially in winter time.

Canada Post is a great company to work for. Learned a lot since I have been there, especially the way the mail are handled before they leave the plant to go out to be delivered. The management is great and very helpful. Workplace culture is great. Can't think of anything hard about the job. Working in teams is awesome
Pros
flexible hours, you are your own boss
Cons
driving in winter

The company has changed so much that any review by myself would be in accurate. When I did work here it was fun and laid back. As I know it know the job I had here doesn't exists any longer.

Being a letter carrier was mostly fun, meeting people and business associates on the route and helping customers with relevant enquiries Learned a lot how to interact with customers and explaining company policies when necessary. enjoyed training new hires, Most difficult part of job, working outside during snow storm

The pay is nice but its not worth the amount of work you have to do for it. It should be a lot higher, especially in the winter when your hands freeze

I worked as an RSMC for 4 years here. getting paid a daily wage is completely unfair. during Christmas i was working 14+ hours a day to get my route done (must be done). After calculating my gas/insurance/and wear on my own vehicle i was only making $4/h

I really enjoyed working in Retail. I had many regular customers that I enjoyed talking to, and selling or up selling product. I had many friends at work with co workers, and supervisors.

+Arrive at Depot between 4:30a & 5:30a. +Sort Mail for 5 or 6 hours +Deliver Out all Mail, Parcels, & Required Signatures +The job itself gets better in time. It can take being with the company for months or over a year to develop speed that gets the mail sorted within 2 to 3 hours & based on the size of the route, delivered in 3 to 4 hours +Aside from wind, rain, snow, & below temperatures, the most difficult part of the job is the hours spent grasping the ins and outs +Really challenging for new staff +They do not have proper *new trainee* support +But Canada Post will assign an experienced employee who will then allow the new staff to shadow with him for 3 days maximum and then the new person is then on their own +Shuffled around weekly sometimes daily on different routes can be a challenge for a new employee +Use your own vehicle +Wear & tear on your vehicle +No reimbursement for gas, only on kilometers +I learn to appreciate my mail when I see it in the box +Management & staff there are very supportive and will cheer you on!
Pros
Decent Pay & Unsupervised Work environment
Cons
Extremely long hours for new employees!

RSMC position is not like most at CP. Pay is low and essentially a contract. Great people, but hard to make a living at it. Using your own car adds to the expenses.
