What would you suggest Canada Post management do to prevent others from leaving?

  • I find it very discouraging in the fact that there is very little job advancement opportunities in the smaller communities for rural route drivers.

  • Take a step back and actually look at the route...how many days of mail are you asking them to deliver...should you be giving themsome extra help...should you be telling them they will be paid for overtime...should you be telling them to come back at the end of their shift because you will not pay them overtime. You are management your job is to manage not sit back and complain when things are not done. Support and manage that is your job!

  • Have a memo sent out about the catty gossiping and bashing of employees. It's disgraceful. Maybe do your own jobs and who cares how someone does theirs. If the end result is the same then who cares.

  • Found out that all those job postings for routes and OCRES are not goin to be filled till January. What a joke. This is a prime example of poor management and why employees just give up and go elsewhere for a job. What's the delay? Why make people wait when people have applied for these job openings and want to start right away. Stop dragging your feet and hire these people and fill the jobs that need to be filled so that the Post Offices aren't always struggling especially through the busiest time of the year, Christmas. Whatever happened to the news about Canada Post hiring 1000's more to handle the Christmas season with more people shopping online more than ever. Get organized and hire people.

  • Operate on a compassionate empathetic basis with all other employees

  • I think someone needs to pass out a memo to all post offices about covid-19 protocols in the workplace. I have encountered far too many places with employees NOT wearing masks and there is suppose to be staggering employees so that there is limited contact between workers....well there are a lot of places that aren't doing either. Extremely concerning that employees health and safety are being put at risk and we are in the 2nd wave.

  • When a casual/part time employee has to go cover a RSMC route and the route sorting board is a royal mess. Out of date and so worn that you can barely read the writing. All route boards should be up to date and ONLY civic address and road names. Have it so the roads are color coded properly and either done in order of route so easy to pull or roads in alphabetical order and clearly numbered by order to pull! It is so frustrating and discouraging!

  • I find it disturbing that with covid-19 protocols a lot of employees and post offices are NOT wearing masks while they are in post office sorting their routes! Why are they not wearing a mask!? Should be mandatory. How is that safe!?

  • When a contractor is covering an RSMC route in their own community and then that RSMC gets their 'Friends' to become contractors then proceeds to give them their route before asking the contractor that has been doing it for a while already. That's not right! That's what turns people off of working for Canada Post.

  • I have been recently told that we are now required to hand deliver any passports that we are not allowed to leave in mailboxes. How is that keeping your employees safe in these times of Covid 19 pandemic. That is certainly not keeping a safe distance(less then 6ft) and why not just have them come to the post office and get their passports just like the ones with customs or +19 /signitures??? This is just one reason why you can't keep employees because you have no consideration for their safety ! And on that subject above, i think it should be like that from here on out with customs and +19/ signitures and passports. People should have go to the post office to pick it up.
