Excellent place to work. Great team and management
Sales (Current Employee) - Kelowna, BC - 3 May 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedKelowna Toyota treats their employees great. The management is always open to suggestions an put a high priority on employee happiness. There is always training opportunities and the culture is awesome. The sales department work together as a team and everyone there treats coworkers as friends instead of competition. Benefits are great and wages are on par.

Big company
Salesman (Former Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 29 April 2022
Big company lots of stores. Each store is managed differently so experiences will vary. This is the car business, take what you can when you can. They will if you don’t

Good Place to Work If You Want Your Money Making Ability To Be In Your Own Hands
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 1 April 2022
Anyone who is driven and ready to grind away will love it here. Lots of fun, and games to keep morale high, lots of opportunity to make serious cash. People making over 150K per year for a job with no requirements other than talking to people and being able to drive.

Struggling to be average.
Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 17 February 2022
If you need a job, I guess. You will go no where within the company unless you are in “the club”. High pressure, high stress, high volume, lowest pay around. Zero staff rewards or comforts. Management is very secretive and lots of closed door meetings. One little man controls the whole show. This place should be a last resort.
Pros
A job
Cons
Salary, environment, constant under staffed, micro managed from the top down.

Walk on eggshells
Advisor (Former Employee) - Alberta - 9 November 2021
Manage by intimidation, lots of threats and toxic culture. Zero appreciation of the hours you put in, pay cuts hidden in "new" pay plans. Always feel like you're on the verge of being fired
Pros
Free lunch sarurdays
Cons
Management

Typical cut throat car sales
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 6 November 2021
If you have any decency in you then don't work here...that being said, don't shop there either. They have no respect for anyone but themselves. They live up to thier name of being car salesmen.
Pros
You dont have to do much work, free lunch on Saturdays
Cons
Long unrewarded hours, garbage pay, you have to watch your back

It’s a good and bad place to work
Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 29 October 2021
To be quite honest you will never be fairly paid like you would be at any other dealership. Toyota’s work environment was a great place to work the people become like family. The customers are horrendous and the pay is not adequate at all. I had the most Amazing manager. However usually most decisions come from the “higher ups” and they are not always the most pleasant or friendly human beings.

Do not work at maclin ford
Lot Attendant (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 27 August 2020
Well let’s talk about Maclin Ford. During my employment there the ownership changed to Canada One Auto Group. Everything was fine for the first few weeks and then suddenly people started getting fired left and right. Anyone who was good at their job? Gone. People who were honest to customers? Gone. People who made shady business deals? That’s who they brought in. If you have a disagreement with any of the management level, you can consider yourself fired. Either shut up and do what you’re told even though it’s morally wrong, or get fired. Do you really want to work in a place like that?
Pros
You get free lunch on Saturday as long as Sales doesn’t eat it all first.
Cons
Literally everything.

SP Toyota is awful
None (Former Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 17 July 2020
Parts manager was a space case. Service manager was great. Fixed ops manager hated anyone in their 20's. Called everyone a millenial. Girls here were clicky and uninviting and unfriendly. They had a snap show working the front parts counter who was racist and misogynistic. It was the worst place I have ever worked in the industry. Benefits are awful.
Pros
Discounts on vehicle purchases
Cons
salary, benefits, people

What happened to this place?
Salesperson (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 20 May 2020
Lakewood used to be an amazing place to work with low turn over and great staff. Then the new GM bought into the place and changed everything for the worse.
No longer do they put clients first, let alone their staff. The pay plan changed every month, of course for the worse.
The new GM has no idea how to make the staff happy, he is almost like a tyrant. He is always spying on you and eavesdropping on your conversations.
There are over two dozen dealerships in Edmonton, DO NOT work at this one.

Taking advantage of staff during Covid-19
Automotive Service Technician (Current Employee) - Alberta - 30 April 2020
They have cut pay across the group, no regard for dedicated staff, risking illness to serve customers. Its all about profit, very greedy. Peoples costs dont go down,
if deemed an essential service it reeks of exploitation during trying times.

Awful
Automotive Apprentice (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 8 March 2020
Started here in 2017, it was great for the first year. Then management switched, and it became the most stressful, unorganized, poorly managed, and greedy workplace I've ever experienced. I would not recommend anybody work here unless they feel like losing their mind every single day.

Canada One
Manager (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 6 February 2020
Depending on the location you may work it can be an average to good place to work, there's been some recent head office changes that were likely needed, hard to tell if they will help or not.
