They treat you well
When I worked there they had performance bonuses, great benefits, managers are good, if asked to volunteer overtime they provided our supper. You work independently but if you need help someone is there. Training provided paid. Plenty of room for advancement.

Work harder and faster
Canada Life is all about numbers and getting you to work as fast as you can. Unrealistic standards for Claim Processors and you are left worrying and stressing about your posting numbers all day.

Relaxed, Good workplace to start your career
the compensation is fair (based on your area), depends on your team, the company offers a good work life balance, they communicate quite often and are open to feedback from employees

Terrible company. Not easy to advance. Management was nitpicky and wrote you up for no reason. Call center made you work when you were sick...........
MANAGER in Ontario

Stable environment
Pros - A great stable company, with many leaders who have a 'people-first' approach. Good pay, great benefits, treated everyone very well during the pandemic, opportunity is there for people willing to work hard and support leadrehship. Cons - many departments work in silos, often intention does not come to fruition.

That was 20 years ago and I don't recall, but they were mostly about working within a team environment and who I would go to if I had a problem with the paperwork.
