Hours are set but they're not very consistent for part time. They booked me for the one day of the week I said I couldn't work a couple times. Some weeks you have 5 day weeks (literally one hour under full time) other weeks you have only 3 days if you have pretty open availability
Hours are set however you can request time off and they normally let you
For the position I was in, they had set hours.
As long as you had a good reason it was very flexible.
