Terrible practices and minimal sucess
Needs to learn how to deal with employees hardships in a manner other than pushing them out the door. Has little to no toleration for sickness or medical conditions. Im sure their must be laws against getting rid of people for this reason but some companies are able to manipluate the system in there own favor.Disappointing.
Work enviromenet is good at times and toxic at other times and all depends on the mood of those in charge. Some oportunity for learning exists but it is not consistent. Some would rather not share their knowlege probably because they are unsure of their own position. Again disappoinging.
Pros
job is easy, customers are nice
Cons
poor wage, cut hours but expect more work, benefits expensive for what you get, partime mostly

Unrealistic expectations - Poor moral
Was expecting a better more positive enviroment to work in. Moral is very low and teamwork is almost not existent. Okay for gaining some experience to put on a reseme for first time workers but would not say it is meant for a carreer builder. Cut backs so less workers to do more work at min wage and in most cases this is unrealistic. Raises to meet cost of living do not happen which is disappointing and explains why so many employees feel they need to move on.
Managemet does alot of talking but not alot of action. Mostly just telling you what they think you want to hear - sadly they are wrong. Do some listening to your workers and maybe moral would change.
Pros
entry level jobs, no experience required
Cons
poor wages, low moral, no recognition

Disapointing Experience and culture
Expected alot more from this company. Found the environment to be toxic and without team work. Nobody seems to get along and don't function good as a unit. Management condonnes this behaviour by there lack of dealing with issues even when brought to there attentions.
Some unprofesional practices like not giving breakdown of tips being paid out so no real way to make sure your not be ripped off. Pay issues take forever to be resolved and pay statement are difficult to understand if you are even able to get one. Should not be this hard.
Pros
Close to home, free coffees
Cons
No sick pay, low hours, no breaks, min wage

Food Service Career
Suitable as a stepping stone job if you are aspiring to managerment in the industry. The basics can be learned in a position with this company but do not expect to advance. Most do realize this and move on.
Expectations are to high for supervisor and manager positions. You must handle all kitchen and cooking skills and do mountains of paper work on top of this. Unrealistic at the best of days even for some one good with managing time. The operation of the food service must come first so everything else goes by the way side.

The environment is negative most of the time. Poor wages and unfillfilling work are the major reasons. It is a hard industry to get excited about but if you are in need of work their is a good probably that you can get hired.

Some employees are good workers and pleasant to be around. So you have to take the good with the bad and figure out what will work out best for your individuall situations.
Pros
Meals when working, short shifts
Cons
Low pay, job not very rewarding, no benefits, part-time positions mostly, high turnover so always working with and training new peoples

Garbage salary for what’s expected of you
What a joke. This company has no clue on how to run a business. Was hired on as a department head and haven’t been trained nor given the tools I need to make my department a success. The company is more concerned about blaming others for there faults then providing what’s necessary for the success of the company Do not recommend working for this company you will not be happy and will be looking for employment elsewhere with i a month

Exhausting and Mentally Draining
Unfair management puts an overload of work on some but not on others.
Overall not feeling respected, very bad communication, and alot of interpersonal issues go unresolved.

People dont stay there long because of the lack of respect and the overload of work due to the cutting in staff. Moral is poor and I found that most people were not committed to the job and didn't care about calling in or not showing up on time for shift. Very frustrating when this is not dealt with.

Not sure why but there seemed to be alot of gossiping and backstabbing going on in this work invironment. Sadly, was not addressed by anybody that could have the position to make a change or fix it.

They are always looking for employees so it is not difficult to get hired with this company. Entry level positions at minimum wage only.

Not bad if you can tollerate the drama and just try to ignore it.
Pros
paycheck, short or long shifts
Cons
unfair management, mostly partime, nobody listens to employee complaints

Needs some growth
Management has good intentions but head office has final say on decisions and they don’t understand the overall business. Overall it’s very unorganized, unprofessional, and no structure whatsoever. Pricing is a little shady and the chef is impossible to work with. The company can be very profitable but needs structure. The pay is very low and you’re always busy.

Work Hard for Little Reward
Not the best experience. Treated like a nobody but expected to do the work and be greatful for the job. Alot of trouble getting answers to questions like schedulling conflicts, pay issues and getting time off and it explains why there is always new people getting hired on. Most dont last vary long.

Hardest part of working for this company is dealing with extra workload because people are always calling in sick and not showing up for shift. It gets to be overwelming. Best part was some of the coworkers were easy to get along with and didn't mind working.

Management at all level need a wake up. Stop treating people like they're worthless. Recognize good jobs once in a while.
Pros
Earn a paycheck, varying shift hours
Cons
Poor attitude, part time work, no advancing possiblities

Food service industry
A typical day is full of all of the tasks that senior employees do not want to do so as a newly hired worker you get the tedious jobs.Understandable to a point but how could a new person learn if they never get to do other jobs. Too lazy to take the time to properly train and give new workers a chance.

Management can be nice when they want to be but can turn a blind eye to other things that need to be dealt with. Depends who you are and what the mood of the day is. Alot of pass the buck when it comes to dealing with problems so not greatest at getting solutions.

The food servise industry is a tough one. Fast pace most of the time. Sometimes there is no times for breaks. Little or no down time so the shifts do go bye quickly.

Most enjoyable part of this job is some of the customers who make you smile. They make up for the one that are demanding and treat you like you are a servent. Overall not bad for someone looking for a little job experience to get something on a reseme.
Pros
Easy work
Cons
Min wage, favoritsm, poor training programs

Short term employment opportunity.
This position started out okay but over time went downhill. I found the work tolerable but the coworkers and enviroment less then desireable.

Some repetitive tasks and issues with unreliable equipment can become aggravating. Turnover is high and is not recognized by head office. Little to no support from head office and those with the power to make change happen.

Training and development is poor. Low staffing levels so not enough time for training new recruits which become frustrated and end of quitting the job.

Pay is not great, average at best. Benefits expensive and not much for what you pay.

Head office is unwilling to solve issues and defers the problems off to site managers who are powerless.
Pros
None
Cons
Min wage, mostly pt hrs at inconvenient times, poor training programs

Fun people to work with
Fun people to work with, just too many changes at once, which killed the momentum of the team.

Management does not seem to care for their people. They'd rather promote themselves.

Culture is hospitality, so long hours and repeated tasks.

The location was probably the most enjoyable part of this job.

Close to home
Cons

Not Top of My List
I have experienced nothing other than unpleasantness with this particular company. I enjoy food service but this was just not my cup of tea so to speak.Quite a disappointing enviroment and not what I was hoping for.

The management rules with an iron fist and that becomes quite evident early on. Their way or no way. They accept little to no imput from employees who are better versed and able to give more realistic information. If you want to be valued as an employee I would rethink applying here.

Pay scale is adequate but not great. Most positions are for minimum wage. Dont expect any sort of perks. There benefits are a rip off if you even qualifyed. Very very costly for what you actually get.

If you are hoping for advancement you will not find it here. Poor moral is the daily menu which is unfortunate. Some coworkers are okay but most are only there for the pay check and don't care about anything else. Very unfortunately.

The worst part of the job is the training or more to the point, lack of. Time and time again i have seen new people thrown in to sink or swim which is unfair treatment. It takes time to build good people if you want success.
Pros
easy to get a position, shifts are various in lenght
Cons
low wages, mostly parttime hours

Do not work there/bad reputation
Everyone that lives in the area weather they have worked there or not knows the reputation this place has, they have hard time getting & keeping staff , very poor and lazy management, make you work 7 days in a row to get a weekend off, no room for advancement, they promise benefits but when it comes time to Actually give them to you , they do anything in their power to conveniently forget to give them to you, different rules for everyone unless your one of their favorites then you can do anything you want.
Pros

Cons
Too many to list
