Good Company to Work for
Asset Inspector(Alberta and B.C.) (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 13 September 2023
I was hired as an Asset Inspector. Living in the Edmonton area, I was mostly in Southern Alberta along with some time on Vancouver Island. Work and Managers were great, It was just too much time away for me at that time. If I could do it over again, I would of discussed less days in a row away at a time. My mistake in leaving the Company.
Pros
Positive attitude from Managers
Cons
Too many days away at a time.

Good place to work
Maintenance (Current Employee) - British Columbia - 12 September 2023
Work is good. Team is fun and they do activities together. Months end can get stressful at times but all jobs have that. Has a good monthly routine.

Fast Paced Environment
Leasing Agent (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 22 August 2023
I worked there for 2 years and moved around a lot working at several different properties. Unless your a manager the work-life balance can be challenging due to the hours of operation. Things may have changed from when I worked there. However, if you're interested in customer service this is a good place to start.

unrealistic expectations from manageoment
Cleaner/Janitor (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 17 August 2023
My co workers were amazing but management needs an enema and to give their heads a shake. Very stressful deadlines, that are not even achievable and no consideration for employees "burning out". Over worked and under paid. Nothing is ever good enough and no appreciation especially for cleaners. Pizza parties do not make up for over working and low pay.
Pros
Co workers stuck together, great friendships
Cons
over worked, low pay

Long term employee
Site Manager & Area Manager (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 5 July 2023
I was obsessed with working for BSP. There was room for advancement, permitted your work ethic aligned. Maintenance knew what they were doing and could be depended on. There was a minimum of 1 maintenance and 1 cleaner per site which was great for tenant relations with quick repairs and curb appeal. It made leasing very easy as the product is good and well taken care of. Management was supportive in personal and professional growth (if you were open to feedback), the training was 4 weeks and there was no shortage of ongoing training. I learned SO much and I am truly grateful for the wealth of knowledge. The buildings themselves may have had some short comings, but believe me, I have seen worse. BSP doesn’t take those short comings lightly, they always find a solution to right any wrongs. Policies are clear, procedures are clear and tasks to be completed, with timeless are clear. If you are a list person, this is a good fit. I bled blue and will always look back at my time as a Site Manager and Area Manager fondly. The only downfalls, in my opinion are that they mandated the Covid 19 vaccines and terminated many employees for making the best possible health decisions for themselves, myself included (after over 5 years with the company). That and, the workload is very demanding. The salary to workload ratio doesn’t align. I make more as a Site Manager with my new company than I did as an Area Manager with BSP. I still have to say, BSP is indeed a much better company overall.
Pros
Room for growth and organized company
Cons
Demanding workload, discrimination on medical choices

Potential to be a great workplace
Cleaner (Current Employee) - British Columbia - 15 June 2023
This could be a great place to work if there wasn't so much pressure on the employees. Understaffed and the workload is too much for anyone to handle.

Stay Away! Terrible Place To Work
Terrible place to work! Site manager and Area manager are a joke. They will lie, manipulate you into things just to have control. They would set you up, fabricating stories, backstab you, gossiping just to get rid of you once they knew you hand a strong sense in handling your job and won't be their puppet any more. They chew you up and spit you out. Stay away!
Pros

Cons

Avoid at all costs.
Property Manager (Former Employee) - Manitoba - 21 September 2022
Avoid this company at all costs. If you are looking for a company that has very little integrity where your manager runs to all the other site managers gossiping about you then this is where you will want to be. Terrible work environment with unrealistic goals. Maintenance team is an absolute joke from the technicians right to the useless, uneducated maintenance managers. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. Buildings are old and not soundproof. Simple repairs take months to complete. Just avoid avoid avoid. You will regret getting involved with this organization. There is a reason the turnover at Broadstreet is so high. Clearly the peeps in BC have no clue what is going on in Manitoba. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!

Family-run organization
Analyst (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 8 September 2022
Decent pay, direct coworkers are smart, capable, and easy to get along with. Management in Campbell River BC was incredibly out of touch with the rest of the organization, did not listen to feedback and made lots of easily avoidable mistakes. Ex. over the winter of 2021/2022, their Winnipeg regional office had hired new people, and built additional temporary office spaces for them. However they didn't think to account for extra staff needing a space to park since it's located in an isolated industrial area and you're not allowed to park on the street. Early Jan 2022, head office told everyone who was WFH due to covid, that we need to be back working out of the Winnipeg office.... Trying to pack in nearly twice as many cars as there were parking spaces, while snow wasn't being cleared and piled up in the corner of the lot, went about as well as you'd expect. Many people didn't bother going back to working from the office after that first day, because they couldn't legally park their cars. Multiple people got written up for not being at an office they couldn't physically park their cars at the regional office. Ultimately they would be forced to cab to work or risk getting a parking ticket from the city of Winnipeg by parking on the street. Reporting the oversight of their parking issue to management went unanswered. Another, less awful but just out-of-touch example, was when they (from Head office on Vancouver Island) sent out to staff in Winnipeg, new "winter coats" we were told wear while onsite at the apartment buildings... light, fleece-lined wind breakers that might -
