No room for advancement. Glass ceiling. Complaints and concerns about conduct are not taken seriously by management. Pension is good but health benefits are lacking.

Dedicated Staff but an Institution that is Difficult to Make Change In

I was fortunate in my role to meet many that are dedicated to teaching and learning. Not all embraced bringing forward ideas and experiences of an outside institution which made change very slow to impossible. Toxic environment where new ideas are highly discouraged

BCIT School of Health Sciences was hands down the worst employer I have ever had. In the beginning I was thrilled to get a job offer from BCIT since they promote themselves as one of the top 100 employers in British Columbia.
