Brenntag Canada = Go Nowhere
Office Someone (Current Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB24 July 2018
Spend years working towards a promotion, and in the end you’re given the news that the duties and responsibilities you’ve since taken on were always part of your job title!! Unbelievable! Feedback is useless when they are simply keeping costs down wherever they can! The p*ick is pushing quitting and then what will they do, office mom should be my title and mama needs a promotion and raise cheapos!!
Pros
They have staff lunches
Cons
No two 15 min breaks just one hour lunch at designated time with no deviation

Good place to work in, management is fairly easy to deal with. Needs to up its game in the salary compensation to employees to be on par with competitors.

Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Etobicoke, ON18 December 2017
Great bonus structure if you are in a sales position. All other employees are second class.

Management doesn't take responsibility and diverts problems to other departments

A decent place to work
Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Grande Prairie, AB31 August 2016
The job is chaotic, views from management change just before a job is done. Work life balance is kept in check, and the benefits are good. Sometimes the schedule doesn't match what you have organized for doctors and dentists, and you have to choose between the job and your health.
Pros
Good salary
Cons
No managemeny

Warehouse Operator (Former Employee) –  6879b 52 ave Red Deer, Alberta.19 April 2016
I was fortunate to go through many workplace training programs after working for Brenntag Canada inc. for over four years. These helped a great deal for preparing for C.O.R and ISO audits for industry standard certifications. Computer programs I dealt with on a daily basis while at Brenntag were Complaint Pro, S.A.P and Intelex all for the record maintenance of the warehouse, of which I was the sole operator and fire warden of for the duration of my time at Brenntag. I believe Brenntag is one of the best companies to work for in Canada and globally due to its above par training, hiring and operating processes.
Pros
Safety standards, employee programs, market demand for chemicals and a positive work environment.
Cons
Majority of the packaged chemicals sold in my warehouse were oil and gas related.

Customer Service Rep (Former Employee) –  Leduc, AB15 March 2016
Management was not on the same page a far as how long it should take for an employee to be comfortable in their job. Other employees missed a lot or time so others had to cover for them.

Class 1 (FM) Driver/Shunter (Current Employee) –  Montreal Quebec25 August 2012
A typical day at work would be shunting tank trucks, loading and unloading dangerous goods and preparing them for the next day deliveries.Learning how to manipulate dangerous goods is always a challenge, however the company is always on top of our security programs and courses such as Hazmat, anti static, and corner stone,ect...the hardest part of the job I guess would be the winter.
And the most enjoyable part of the day would be at the end of the day when the job is well done and you came home safely.
Pros
free lunches, great benifites, great hours, and great working conditions.
Cons
winter conditions, working with flammables, toxic, and corrosives all day.
