Calgary Job Seekers Beware
Sales (Current Employee) - Calgary, AB - 23 June 2022
Calgary location If you like being micro managed at every level, treated with a lack of respect , in a very dysfunctional work environment then you've found your place. Don't look for your 2 x 15 min breaks . The Word TEAM gets used a lot but often just for the benefit of the new guys, no pull through. No reflection on the Company or Organization , always found other Branches / Employees to be helpful. Calgary Location I take no pride in writing this negative review but want any prospective job seeker to go in with their eyes open.

It was alright but it's hardly the stuff of dreams
Inside Sales (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 9 May 2022
Hard manual work, impossible computer system, no real training on how to use system, shops filthy, effort to find anything, manager doesn't really manage, you'll be counting stock and packing boxes and unloading and counting three skids of stock every other day
Pros
Money was a little better than average
Cons
Loads

Its a day job 7-5 nothing more nothing less
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Burlington, ON - 28 April 2022
It is a good jumping off point if you’re interested in sales. Hours of work are nice no weekends. For the most part branches are usually understaffed resulting in miscommunication and errors. High pace and high stress. Because of the lack of workers your are likely not going to be trained properly or to the point where you are comfortable.
Pros
Ability to learn
Cons
Understaffed, high pace resulting in stress, no employee appreciation, customer has final say

Fast Paced, great job if you know the industrial sales business.
STORE SUPERVISOR (Current Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 8 April 2020
The people are great, customers can be difficult as in any line of work.
Multi tasking is a must, if you don't keep up with the traffic you will get run over and kicked to the curb. The company takes care of its employees but expects you to perform beyond your capabilities.

Lots of Promises, No Delivery
Counter Sales (Current Employee) - Brampton, ON - 13 June 2019
Brafasco’s most favourite claim is “ We promote from within “ but turn around & hire flunky , inexperienced Home Depot workers over their own hard working, dedicated employees.
Lies & deceit from upper management lead to an excedus of great employees leaving for other opportunities.
Would seriously consider, before wasting any time with this choice.
Pros
Lunch Breaks
Cons
Constant Sales Pressure

Started out great, ended not so great
Inside Sales (Former Employee) - London, ON - 15 June 2018
Great potential, but it ended there. No follow through on promises or commitments.
Tremendous sales goals that were unattainable.
Work environment was geared all towards outside sales and not much to service employees.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
Critical supervisors

Productive work place
Counter Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Oakville - 29 January 2014
A typical day begins at 8 am and ends at 5 pm. The first task of the morning is segregating goods that arrive from the Distribution Centre (DC), into those for stock and presold to customers, based on a manifest provided. Once this is completed, deliveries to customer locations are planned for the day, based on customer orders. Documentation, including Delivery Notes and Driver sheets are prepared and deliveries effected at various customer locations. Time permitting, attending to walk in customers and merchandising at the store. The store is managed by the Branch Manager, with the Supervisor assisting him in various tasks as required. I had a coworker, whose duties were service walk in customers and inventory management. The most enjoyable part of the job was that I was busy for all the 8 hours. The toughest part of the job was working to very strict deadlines. The most important thing I learnt on this job was to work under extreme pressure.
Pros
Busy for all the 8 hours
Cons
Strict deadlines

Very dirty environment and heavy lifting.
Outside/Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Brampton, Ontario Canada - 1 October 2013
Very dirty office and warehouse conditions.
Extremely busy and outdated office equipment.
Learned about fasteners and tools and much pricing and quoting of product both standard and custom.
Privately owned at the time with poor leadership.
Co-workers were all pleasant but most were looking for alternate employment.
Very heavy lifting and very dusty, dirty conditions.
Large customer base and met many customers through open houses.
Pros
Met in person many of the customers.
Cons
Very dirty conditions both in the office and warehouse.
