Great first job for students but not much room for advancement
Part-time Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 19 May 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedYour day would start by discussing sales goal for the day with your manager, then get assigned which area you will cover (fitting room, bra, swim, etc.). It's a customer-focused service so make sure you like talking and connecting with people or you'll have a hard time making a sale. Depending on your co-workers your shifts could either be really fun or boring, sometimes even some drama involved since it's an all women workplace. Overall it's a decent job just not much room for growth and progress in the long run.
Pros
Employee discount, fun co-workers
Cons
Not enough hours even as a part-time job

Boring and strict
Seasonal Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 13 May 2022
Mainly it’s just a temporary job nothing special and very low pay for the amount of work you have to do.The dress code is business casual but they are very strict about it

Bonne entreprise
Gérante (Current Employee) - Montréal, QC - 12 May 2022
Working at La Vie en Rose has been an amazing experience. In 4 years I was able to progress through the business and receive 2 promotions. The compensation is very fair and they truly do care about their employees work/life balance. Every leader I have had truly cares about my development both professionally and personally. Sales targets can be challenging but if you're willing to put in the work the opportunities for success and career advancement are endless at a company with a great mission!

Environnement stimulant et belle culture d'entreprise
employé du siège social (Current Employee) - Montréal, QC - 12 May 2022
Belle entreprise québécoise où le travail d'équipe est mis de l'avant. Il y a toujours plein de projets stimulants et un bel équilibre travail et vie professionnelle! J'adore mon expérience de travail à La Vie en Rose.

Really bad environment!!!
Key Holder/Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 9 May 2022
Really bad training and management was very condescending. The environment was very stressful with alot of fights between sales people due to commission. They also change the schedule last minute sometimes without asking the workers. They cut hours constantly so be prepared to start out on Monday with a 35 hour week to only have 8 hours all together. They will do anything to save money. They don't care about the workers.
Cons
No consistent work

Worst place I have ever worked
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Canada - 3 May 2022
Treated extremely poorly. Overworked for a garbage wage. This company severely takes advantage of its workers. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Worked here for about 4 months and had to leave because it took such a toll on my mental health.

Key Holder (Former Employee) - Tsawwassen, BC - 28 April 2022
Great place to work lots to learn fast paced but everyone is welcoming and nice. Salary is not bad either. You can get as many hours you want if you work hard.
Pros
Discount and you will get hours.

Productive and a fun place to work
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 25 April 2022
Management is great, the discount is nice, and the dress code isn’t ridiculous. My only con would be the pay. I feel like it could be increased as it’s not really a livable wage. Especially for people in management positions(Keyholder, Assistant, Manger…)

Jobs at Boutique La Vie en Rose
The most toxic work environment ive endured. RUN
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Kingston, ON - 19 April 2022
This place is horrible. The only way you get by is keeping yoir head down and doing your work. The only thing I've learned from this place is not to become friends with coworkers or trust them either. People will snitch and lie simply because they can or to make themselves look good to higher up's. Management is vile. If you have any issues your told to go to higher ups but chances are your boss has already contacted them lieing about the issue. That or your hours get drastically cut from 25 down to the minimum 8 a week. Your treated like trash and expendable. I hate to think of all the young girls who see this place as an opportunity for a nice work environment where you can make friends and grow. This place is BS. I hope to never have to see or speak to another one of those people again.
Pros
50% off discount and sometimes working with some nice girls.
Cons
No hours, small if any breaks, small pay checks, poor management, competitiveness

Decent Job
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 11 April 2022
The job was decent, coworkers were amazing but management was awful. A lot of nepotism there too. Ppl who were connected to management/upper management were able to get away with whatever they want because of the power dynamic while regular staff had to actually work.

job is good for part time young people
Key Holder/Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Grande Prairie, AB - 16 March 2022
job was very easy and most days would just consist of taking to customer's and with other employes. have to say the manager is set in her ways and is hard to communicate with, definitely only looks out for herself when it come to problems. overall if you are looking for an easy job selling bras and PJs all day its alright.
Pros
50% off full price
Cons
management, stores culture, they will use you

Pros
Prise de congé facile
Cons
Ambiance générale

Stressful environment with no support from upper management. Expectations are unreasonable and pay is low.
Store Manager (Former Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 16 February 2022
Stressful environment with no support from upper management. Expectations are unreasonable and pay is low. To get any approved time off came with lectures and bargaining and threats of pre approved time off being taken away. It was a very unhealthy workplace.

Should be an awesome job- it’s like stepping into a time portal to high school.
Junior Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - London, ON - 15 February 2022
Don’t get me wrong- most of us, when coming into an environment made up of women, expect some level of cattiness. There’s realistically no real textbook way to erase that dynamic however there are many ways to address and come to appropriate solutions. This company encourages and allows workplace bullying through an inability to properly train and supervise their staff.
Pros
Good discount, Good benefits package & hourly rate
Cons
No real outline of duties for new management, Environment encourages cliques and bullying, Some missed breaks

Okay company if it’s your first job. As soon you get experience you should leave.
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 9 February 2022
Okay job to gain experience or if in school and need job that is flexible and understanding. However, the of diversity is flagrant, pay is not good and you’re expected to work as if you get commission when you don’t.
Pros
All women workforce might be more comfortable
Cons
Dress code too strict and old fashioned, No advancement and if lucky enough not paid well enough. -Lack of diversity.
