Sad to see some frustrated, loser employees giving bad reviews
Honest (Current Employee) –  New Westminster, BC5 April 2019
If you're a former employee, fine! your review just expresses your spite.
If you're a current employee, what the heck are you still doing working on such "harsh" conditions; don't be a loser and show you can survive elsewhere.
I don't know an employer who will offer employees 4-week vacation after 2 years, 12-paid-sick days, 6-paid personal days, decent health benefits and many other considerations (in my opinion too paternalistic).
Unfortunately those benefits cannot be for Instructors, who only work 3 to 9 hours a week, on irregular or seasonal basis.
As per salaries, being a non-profit has its toll, they indeed are not aligned to other businesses, but mentioned perks compensate that shortage
Pros
4-week vacation after 2 years, 12-paid-sick days, 6-paid personal days and has also decent health benefits.
Cons

Great students and teachers - Horrid leadership, low compensation
Instructor (Current Employee) –  New Westminster, BC6 March 2019
Great students. Horrid leadership - micro management and incompetent, that use bullying to "encourage" employees. Atmosphere of bullying inspired by unorganized and incompetent upper management (CEO/CFO/provost) - the institute is top heavy with an excessive amount of admin when compared to other institutions of similar size. Low pay and poor compensation, weak benefits package, no RRSP matching. Poor treatment of faculty and lack of overall faculty development and support. Enrollment is declining, dirty faculties that are falling apart - no opportunities for advancement. Get used to having no contracts to sign and getting your schedule a week before the start of term.
Pros
great students with a desire to learn
Cons
low pay, terrible management, hostile environment, micromanagement, poor organization, poor facilities

Bullying and hostile
Faculty Member (Current Employee) –  New Westminster, BC8 December 2018
Really poor upper management and an inept board. The company has been in a nosedive for about 5 years. It doesn’t not have a diverse revenue structure and enrolment is down.
Pros
Great students
Cons
Atrocious communication abilities from upper management

Supportive place to work
Naturopathic Teaching Clinic Supervisor (Former Employee) –  New Westminster, BC28 May 2018
This is a very supportive, collaborative working environment. I enjoyed coming there and being part of a community of like-minded individuals who are there for the benefit of helping the students learn and challenge each other on a daily basis.

A sinking ship
Administration (Former Employee) –  New Westminster, BC25 August 2017
Don't expect a raise or to be acknowledged for all the work you do. If you like micro management and a lack of trust or respect, then this is the place for you. Money is wasted on everything but staff. Other staff members are great people and so are the students but upper management doesn't know how to run an institution, especially one associated with education.
Pros
Great students, friendly staff, decent weeks off
Cons
No raises, no appreciation
