Reviews about Pay & benefits for Engineer at Bombardier
Still a decent workplace, despite all the ups and downs!
Methods Engineer (Current Employee) - Montréal, QC - 1 October 2020
Quite a good workplace, and great to begin a career. You do have a lot to learn, and learn a lot, especially in the first years. However, the job becomes repetitive quickly Management and coworkers are extremely inclusive, no matter who you are, you will be accepted in a team and work with others. Frequent layoff waves often result in overloaded employees. No overtime compensation if you aren't an unionized worker. Salary increase and promotion are extremely hard to get.
Pros
Good name, Great product, Team is amazing
Cons
No overtime pay, little bonus, extremely hard to get a promotion

Not the best working environment
Engineering Professional (permanent) (Current Employee) - Mirabel, QC - 2 June 2019
As a result of continuous lay-offs and poor workload distribution, the environment becomes toxic, non-supportive and stressful. People are overloaded and get lots of pressure from the top. This pressure transforms into aggressive atmosphere at the workplace, where bullied employees do not have guts to say no to the management, and spill their aggression onto fellow employees instead.
Morale is low, no team spirit exists. Incentive plan does not work as you are being blamed by your co-workers of intentionally dumping work on them every time you take sick hours (as a part of company-offered incentive plan) to attend a doctor or take care of your family issues.
Pros
Average industry salary package
Cons
Toxic environment, low morale
