Lies and abuse
Site Superintendent (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB7 March 2019
Be very clear when negotiating your wage because it might be significantly lower when you receive your pay stubs. Also the management lacks experience and knowledge when it comes to building procedures and practices. The culture at bmp is toxic and morale is very low on most sites. Other companies and contractors have given BMP the nickname "Butcher My Project" and the name is fitting. All in all a great place to learn what not to do and perfect for anyone who enjoys being sworn at and bullied by young, inexperienced project managers and superintendents. You would probably enjoy a root canal more than working for these blokes....
Pros
No pain no gain
Cons
Probably cant put them on a resume

Not fun at all, if you enjoy being set up to fail work here
Skilled Labourer (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB5 March 2019
Does the exact opposite of other builders

Has all trades in at one time which is harder on them and caters to them more than they should.

The only builder that tells trades they will clean up after them even though they are paid to do it.

If you want to do everything more than once because theres no forethought which in the end eats your profit and makes for a long day.

Not all superintendents there are bad to work for but if they don't know what they are doing then how are you?

They will do anything to save money where they shouldn't like doing part of the trades job even if nobody knows what to do then the trade has to fix it before they can do what they are being paid to do.

All in all a very chaotic company not a good place to work they will screw you over first chance they get. This is just the tip of the berg too, good luck !
Pros
9.5 hour days decent money
Cons
Decent money but not worth the time

Great company
Accounting Clerk (Current Employee) –  Airdrie, AB27 September 2018
I have worked here for 18 months and personally love it. The office environment is casual and friendly. You are not just another number, they treat employees like people and take the time to develop real relationships. Everyone is very open and outgoing. For those that do their job and show initiative, management has no problems offering advancements financially and professionally within the company.

Good pay, not worth the headache
Project Assistant (Former Employee) –  Airdrie, AB3 May 2018
There is no culture at BMP. It's every man for himself, and apparently you have to trash talk your co-workers to get ahead. Even the owners are catty and two-faced. Money was decent, but not worth the stress.

Do not work here!
Project Assistant (Former Employee) –  Airdrie, AB30 January 2017
I do not think much of this company and frankly I am embarrassed to have them as part of my employment history. There is a substantial amount of inner office politics, they hire a large number of people with the intention of firing them soon after. They take months to pay contractors, and in general I would say they are underhanded.
