Management side of the building are two faced. Tell you one thing while meaning another.

No loyalty at all.

They wait until you are towards the end of your 6 Month !! Probation than find a reason to let you go.
Pros
Co workers, shift
Cons
Management, no job security.

Terrible management. Leadership team solely looks out for themselves. Draining work culture. Consistently over worked. Recognition is never given, no how much overtime you put in. Don’t put yourself through an interview. It is full of empty lies and promises.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything

While working at Blue Water Group, I learned working as a team work and more about safety and using required PPE was mandatory while performing tasks.

Horrible...Management onsite should be all replaced. If you're not part of their clique they will do everything to undermine you. Very unprofessional. There is huge disconnect as there is no senior management onsite. The sad part management seems trust the supervisor say.
Pros
10 days on /off
Cons
Bad managers onsite

Leadership doesn’t know how to manage people. Great financial performance but old and inefficient operational processes. Micro-managing and zero management is common across the leadership team.

Unloading 34' vans with a forklift of material that we then need to verify and receive into the SAP system.
A great group of people but in certain areas are not deemed accountable for things that should be reprimanded for. Management does not follow through on equal treatment of employees.
Pros
10 days on and 10 days off work cycle
Cons
Have to pay my own transportation and a hotel night per work set

Positive environment with great opportunities to succeed. Lots of great people work here and management like to keep the atmosphere light and fun but with a dedication to hard work.

This place I a really awkward place to work, there’s 2 employees in the Edmonton branch that we’re really good and helpful but absolutely everyone else there is only looking out for themselves and are very awkward. I would not recommend working here, and the pay is really really low for what they expect of there drivers
Pros
Home everyday
Cons
Pay, and the way management works

The place has great workers but management just tells you what you want to hear. Their hands get tied as upper management needs to approve of things but they're far too clueless to ever make a decision.
You start at a base wage, as time goes on you're given more responsibilities with the notion that if you do well you'll get a raise. They give you a time frame and just change the time frame further and further back again saying it'll come soon but it never does.

You're told not to rush but yet everything needs to be done now.

I'm sure Blue Water Group treats their employees well elsewhere but the NL branch is just ignored. They wonder why a union is going in, it's no fault of middle management on site but only the upper management that has failed time and time again to compensate the good workers there who put their blood and sweat into their work.

If you want to make EI wages for more than full time hours while being considered as ''on contract'' for a few years without any raise or bonuses then this is the place for you!! Be responsible for items worth millions of dollars for a couple of dollars more than your local McDonald's worker. The stress isn't nearly worth it although they tell you there's nothing to stress about. By far busier than offshore rigs or any warehouse on the island hands down.

If you want a career stay clear of this place, upper management lies lies lies.
Pros

There are great opportunities with Blue Water Group, the company promotes from within, so advancing and moving up is common with hard work. I recommend Blue Water Group for anyone with the right attitude!

My day starts off with a relaxing toolbox meeting kicking off with Safety, Operations and AOM. Stretches are performed afterwards and daily activities commences.
Great team environment, the managers keeps their doors open always except during meetings.

12 hours is a long time but disappears really fast if you keep busy.

There’s tons to learn everyday due to the dynamic nature of the logistics business.
Pros
Ongoing training, safety culture
Cons
12 hours shift.

Arrogant management, rules only apply to them and their friends. If you don't do what they say, you get blacklisted and then eventually fired. Poor safety regulations, don't follow the rules until there is a visit from OHS. Bully old school attitudes
Pros
nada
Cons
long list
