I hear many mixed reviews about any job . In my opinion , the state of positive perspective is needed anywhere , a good attitude and strong knowledge of interpersonal skills is needed. Good for a summer job only

Kitchen, Restaurant and spa, seem to be the best departments to work at. Working at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is good if you are looking for a temporary/summer job, so you can explore Tofino and Ucluelet, going surfing etc. If you are looking for a long term job, this isn't the place. Just like family

Always check the dates of previous reviews. Up until 3 years ago it wasn’t great…now it’s a pretty great place to work. Everyone is like family, very collaborative and organized. I would totally recommend it

Relaxed but disorganised environment

The resort itself is beautiful and the days are relatively relaxed. Management need to be more organised with new starts as there is no orientation or tour given so you just get thrown into the deep end
