Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB30 January 2019
Just another company trying to grind out as much work as they can out of the lowest people on the totem pole.

Management does not care about the the workers. Just carbon copy the same safety management required to work at the large industrial sites.

They use their previous project experience as a selling point and yet very little of that knowledge is passed on to be utilized on the next project because all those people have moved on to other positions or careers because Bird is just, at best, a stepping stone to something better or, at worst, where you end up.

The environment is very supportive and lots of opportunities for advancement
Project Coordinator (Co-op) (Former Employee) –  Thompson, MB4 December 2017
Wonderful company to work for! Management and crew staff are friendly, helpful, and passionate about construction and what they do. Strong core values and beliefs which are followed through on by everyone in the company. I've worked on multiple sites, with multiple different crews, and the one thing that's consistent is the passion. Everyone truly cares for the core values and beliefs of Bird and focuses their daily tasks …

Good experience for a short time
Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Richmond, BC29 November 2017
For the short time I was there until they ran out of projects for me, it was a good experience and a learned a lot. Typical construction lunches with subs and clients. Direct manager was a good mentor. Higher ups had other things on their minds.

Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB6 July 2017
The salary paid by Bird is pretty nice and has a lot of benefits. However, the management team is doing a terrible job on site. The deadlines for project are always postponed. Even though u are a permenent employee, the job is still not fully secured.
Pros
good benefits and high salary
Cons
lack of management and insecure job title
