Ok if temporary
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Etobicoke, ON25 February 2019
Coworkers are rude and only care about sales. Completely UNREALISTIC sales goals for a place with extremely declining popularity and overpriced swim attire that trust me- almost no one will purchase usually due to prices. It’s usually dead in the stores during every season except summer, with never anything to do but walk around and organize swim suits. Not worth it.

Unrealistic sales goals, constant empty store, bad coworkers

good but sometimes really slow
KEYHOLDER (Former Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB20 February 2019
It's honestly a really great place to work, you open the store, do paper work, people come in and you help them and then the next shift comes on and you have someone to talk to.
The ladies who work there are so upbeat and amazing, they work for more of a family environment than a work environment which is a great experience.
The hardest part of the job is probably dealing with the dead spells. you have targets and while everyone is super understanding about why you're not reaching them it still really sucks.
Pros
You work with amazing people
Cons
high end bathing suits aren't a year round demand in Winnipeg so it can get pretty slow

Unrealistic expectations, paired with horrible management is a bad combo
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) –  Ottawa, ON6 December 2018
Management has completely unrealistic expectations from sales right through to the day-to-day. Management puts on a complete facade for head office. The way they pretend the store is run while head office is in, is a complete 180 from how the store is run when they are not in the store. Management contradicts themselves on a daily basis. The manner in which they speak to and gossip about staff is childish and an embarrassment to a company. The management complains about a lack of staffing, it is now evident that this lack of staffing comes from the toxic environment that management creates. The training that was given was basically non-existent and management would proceed to scream about staff not having the knowledge that was not given in the first place. Management will regularly complain about the work that is not being done, yet works a second job and spends no extra time at the store whatsoever. Any feedback is negative and extremely degrading; you never receive anything encouraging. I honestly feel bad for the part-timers who still work for this company as they put in their work only to get beaten down for it. Not fair. I'm glad I left.
Cons
Management, Lack of support, Unrealistic sales goals

Great company, but don't expect to grow there!
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC18 September 2018
Work environment is great and work-life balance is amazing if you have a family. However, there's too many cooks in the kitchen and there's not a lot of room to grow in the company.

Loved it
Key Holder/Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Windsor, ON30 August 2018
Honestly I've really enjoyed working here. the environment is pretty easy going and the team is amazing. The bonuses are great and really it's a testament to the hard work each individual puts in. It is a sales driven environment which can be stressful at times but the group that I was able to work with made it easy! on the flip side it can be a bit daunting at times of the store is slow and there are no customers. A typical morning might include put backs, making sure that the sales floor is clean and that the racks are tidy and uniform.

Bikini VIllage
Key Holder (Current Employee) –  Bayshore, ON21 April 2018
What I have learned at Bikini Village is how to interact with customers everyday comfortably, as well achieving the daily sales objective. I learnt how to do cash transactions, as well as returns and exchanges. I have learnt how to act as manager while the manager is absent, as well as opening and closing the store. Selling swimsuits to customers is not always the easiest thing to do because it is sensitive to some, so you have to make sure they have a positive experience and try and get them out of that negative mindset. The most enjoyable part of the job is when someone finds a swimsuit that they are comfortable in and they actually like it. I the hardest part about the job is when someone comes in with a negative mindset, changing around their mindset is not necessarily the easiest thing to do.

Fast When Fast, SlowWhen Slow
Key Holder and Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Yorkdale, ON30 January 2018
Summer Months & Holiday/Vacation Seasons are so fast, which is great because you can get really high sales. However.. when September and October come around, there will be times where total traffic for the day was 90, including the 5 employees exiting and entering.

worst company to work for
Key Holder/Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON14 December 2017
Management team is horrible! Very demanding and condescending. You are required to put work before your personal life. Managers are hired really young, they are bossy and don't know how to properly do their job. The company always short pays you and don't do anything to fix your pay.
Pros
50% off La Vie en Rose and Bikini Village

the company went bankrupt
Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Newmarket, ON14 September 2017
their isn't much to say the company went bankrupt was bought out by another, I don't believe ceo had a clue how to run this company.
If they had got rid of him and had someone else running it they might be around today and not owned by their then once completion.
Pros
hours great

pay was low

Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Fairview, ON19 June 2017
A typical day at work would include greeting customers and informing them of any new merchandise, new swimwear styles, any sales we have going on, and helping customers find the perfect bikini /swimwear in which they feel most comfortable in.

Inconsistent and unrewarding
Sales (Former Employee) –  Nepean, ON21 May 2017
I would not recommend this job to anyone but my worst enemy. It is dull and very slow even during the start of the busier seasons. The set up of the store makes it very easy to forget about certain suits as it is changed almost three times a week which makes it very hard to locate items for customers and be 100% helpful. Management is terrible, they will punish you on the schedule (work only the shifts no one wants and give you very little hours) for small mistakes that were only made due to inconsistent/fluctuating rules. Will not own up to their own mistakes even when you have been scolded for them and the current manager uses very insensitive language and makes tasteless jokes. I feel LGBTQ workers would be extremely uncomfortable working with this manager as they will poke fun at and disrespect openly LGBTQ customers after they leave the store. Co-workers do not stand up for each other, they tend to tell on each other for small things instead. If you are looking for a fun job, with good pay, hours and a supportive staff go anywhere but here. I'm not kidding don't hand in a resume, don't apply don't even shop here.
Pros
Can't think of one maybe no brain power is needed to work here.
Cons
