Internship (Former Employee) – Winnipeg, MB – 25 May 2018
As a previous Intern, I found that the store owners were disrespectful towards their employees. This is coming from someone who was only an internship, and witnessed first hand some of the unprofessional and disrespectful attitude the store owners had toward their managers and employees. On a further note, sometimes the employees weren't properly trained or meet the requirements to take care of their animals.
Love the animals, a lot of work for not much money. The hardest part of the job is seeing the animals you've grown attached to get sick and not be able to do anything about it unless you can do it out of pocket.
Fun place to work, but some of the management team members are on a power trip and just didn't care about their employees. Co-workers were the best part of working there. Hours were wonky for being a "part time" staff.
Relaxed Environment, slower traffic flow which makes it more of a "home"like environment when intereacting with customers
