My typical day at work involves managing the Microsoft Windows Store by delegating, supervising, and coaching the connected solutions sales staff. Responding to customers needs and concerns relating to Microsoft products that are sold by Best Buy.
Recommending the right products and devices after carefully evaluating the customers needs and asking the necessary lifestyle questions.
I have definitely learnt how a large retail technology chain store operates. It's standard operational procedures and its security measure implementation. Management is not very professional when it comes to managing employees, except in a few exceptional cases.
Co-workers are generally nice and cooperative and willing to learn, most of them are students and therefore already have the basic skills in order to learn quickly. There is really no hard part of the job, I would rather say the most challenging part of the job is to maintain that high level of delivering the customer service experience to those rather impatient, fussy and at times very cynical customers that you encounter from time to time. On the contrary what I enjoy most is meeting all types of customers from various educational and career backgrounds and you do learn many things during the course of engaging them in my usual getting connected dialogs.
