Co-Workers are great, corporate micromanagement and control sucks
Overall working at Best Buy is a fairly laid-back and relaxed job, but like any retail position it demands far too much sacrifice of personal time and well-being for far too little pay. It requires that to hold any full-time position you will never get to see your weekends or holidays ever again. The work is generally enjoyable, but sometimes you - more... feel pressured to sell insurance policies to people that don't want them. The management at my store is generally very good, but corporate management is very distant and unaware of real problems at a store level and what should be done about them. - less
ProsWorkplace culture, cool staff events, free food fairly regularly, decent benefits package
ConsLong hours, always work weekends and holidays, pay does not seem to correlate with employee dedication, work ethic, or skill set.
